It’s all in the prep… Book a wet shave for the morning. And have your hair cut around 4-5 days prior to your wedding.
It’s not just about the suit fitting. Ensure your shirt fits neat and comfortably. Likely you’ll be removing your jacket for the dance floor later on in the evening.
Don’t be afraid of going double breasted. Just keep in mind there’s more material… especially when sitting. Not for everyone.
Keep the buttonhole neat and tidy. One stem. You don’t want to look like a clown. It’s worth changing your buttonhole for a new replacement prior to dinner. Keeps you looking fresh during your speech.
It needn’t be black tie. Shades of blue are fun. But we wouldn’t really go too far from the grey, blue or black palettes if honest. Keep it timeless. Your purple tux might seem a fun and original idea now… But in 50 years those photos aren’t going to look so classic.
Velvet. We love for winter weddings.
Blue tux. Hey why not. If Mr. Gosling says so, it’s cool.
White jacket if the rest of your guests are in black tie. Perfect. Ensures you stand out. We also aren’t opposed to a black tux having a white waistcoat. Crisp and sharp.
And if in doubt. Go to your idols for inspiration. What would they have worn on their wedding day….?
